President who?

Ok...so this is nothing new...well it may be for some. I heard about it on the radio one day and they went through some of it, but not all of it. Pretty F)*)*% amazing if it even has 10% truth to it.

So...who to vote for....

Clinton and their body count? (http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/RANCHO/POLITICS/BODIES.html)

McCain taking away freedom of speech (You cannot say something like, I like this person for president because...... --within so many days from an election.) it is against teh law....

Obama...well...not sure on his religious affiliations and upbringing. I think that he can be a dangerous one also.

So...again...yes I know...snopes.com will deny it all...but folks, take a closer look, not just a scratch on the lottery ticket look, really delve into it and make an educated guess....not what some news show tells you who to vote for.

AND YES.....NOT VOTING...IS VOTING....You are accepting the popular vote as your own and have no right to BITCH about the outcome.

Ok...going to see about putting up dinner and maybe get some icecream...I think I need to calm down

Rabbit Ears...

https://www.dtv2009.gov/
Ummmm for those that dont always hear/listen to the news....the government is changing the way you will be able to use your tv set. If you do not have digital tv (you have analog if you use rabbit ears), the tv is going away in 2009. You will need a converter box. The above website (https://www.dtv2009.gov/) will have answers and you can apply for a 40 dollar coupon to get a converter box. That will bring the price down to about 10-30 dollars. You will definately need it if you do not have cable or something similar. Dont delay. Why is the gvmt doing this? They are taking back the tv air waves so they are giving you something to be able to watch tv with.
Thanks,C

The Cherry got Popped....

I bet that got your attention. Ok..here is the scoop. Rob popped a cherry. (not Cherrie) Geeze where is your mind?
I made a chicken dish, after watching on Rachael Ray. It had chicken, and a sauce/relish of celery, onion, white wine, chicken broth and dried cherries. So...when a couple of days later, Rob was microwaving some up, guess what, the cherry popped. I laughed and said...ahhh...another cherry popped.
Ok..so back to the season...retail season. I have purchased quite a few of my gifts. I will let you know, if you are getting something from me, it is either from walmart, avon, victoria secret or possibly homemade. What a selection huh? Well....maybe you will get one of the better ones. I am kinda proud of what I got at Walmart for my office exchange gift. Pretty nifty. Some of may never make it home.
So...while Rob got something for the guys, I got something special for the gals. He needs to get something for his mom, and the two little girls, but then most of our stuff is done, except for maybe Cass and Rob buying a few gifts. I do need to get something for the dogs... I did forget that part.
So admist the cold wet weather, christmas lights..(Yep..we got some outside) and greenbean casserole....and the retail mecca of Christmas, the holiday season is rolling right along. Dogs going to doctors and finding their warm spot inside.
Oh...did I mention that our furnace went out this morning...Yeah. Ok...where is the electric blanket?

DREAMS...?

If you know me, you know I am into weather. This dream does not have anything to do with that...

I had a dream, I was in San Antonio. It started at the corner of Callahan and IH 10. It was bad weather. We were in a Jeep Cherokee. I was in the back seat passenger side. I do not know who the others were; there was a total of 4-5 people in the jeep. We were going south on Callahan and at the light at IH 10. There was a tornado that came up over the building and wiped it out. It then turned down the side road of IH 10 (feeder road), and started bouncing around on the buildings and homes headed towards Wurzbach. We headed down towards Wurzbach behind the tornado, figuring we were safe.

Do you know those air tunnels…that are like invisible, but you see waves of air…like on TV? Well…This tornado bounced right in front of us and we drove through it. It was that invisible tunnel of air when we entered…then the screen (what I saw in my dream) did a spiral on the screen making everything smear together. Then it unsmeared we saw dirt flying in front of us and then we were out of the tornado and everything was back to normal. We went through this a total of 5 times, showing we went through the tornado 5 times.

Then I woke up. I do not know who I was with. I thinking the jeep was dark navy blue. I do not know who was driving. I just know what I went through and where I was. Strange that it be San Antonio, just blocks from where I lived when I went to middle school, before moving on to Boerne.

Anyway…since the most significant is Tornado…here is a brief dream interpretation of Tornados in a dream…

1- tornado - Being overwhelmed by work or circumstances. You are stressed out. If you are overtaken: Things are out of control in your life. If you escape from or avoid it: You are stressed but can handle the situation.

2-Tornado-To see a tornado in your dream, suggests that you are experiencing some extreme emotional outbursts and temper tantrums. Is there a situation or relationship in your life that may be potentially destructive?
To dream that you are in a tornado, signifies that you are feeling overwhelmed and out of control. You will be met with a series of disappointments for the next week or so. Your plans will be filled with complications.
To see several tornadoes in your dream, represent people around you who are prone to violent outbursts and shifting mood swings. It may also symbolize a volatile situation or relationship.

3-An overwhelming and/or destructive situation in the dreamer's life, most likely out of the dreamer's control. A feeling of being taken advantage of or victimized, especially suddenly or in an unpredictable way

4-Tornado-If you dream that you are caught up in a tornado, or see other people in one, or you are in danger from a tornado, then you will find all your well laid business plans come to naught and failure will dog your footsteps until you do something to change your chances of success; more education, better training or so forth.

So...if you have any ideas of what all this means, let me know your thoughts. I know work has been a bit stressful and there has been someone in our lives that has caused some stress and unexpected last minute plan changes. I have been trying to relax, including crochet. (4 scarves now and 3 cup cozy's.--like those cardboard cup holders...those are cup cozys.)

survey says....

E2: The Everything Test 2

There are many different types of tests on the internet today. Personality tests, purity tests, stereotype tests, political tests. But now, there is one test to rule them all.

Traditionally, online tests would ask certain questions about your musical tastes or clothing for a stereotype, your experiences for a purity test, or deep questions for a personality test. We're turning that upside down - all the questions affect all the results, and we've got some innovative results too!
Version 2 is leaner, meaner, and features a more mature and varied set of questions than the previous test. Enjoy!

Your political views would best be described as Libertarian, while philosophically you tend to think like a Conservative.
Socioeconomic
Your attitude toward life best associates you with Upper Middle Class. You make more than 85% of those who have taken this test, and 4% more than the U.S. average.

In the spirt of things....

To share,We had cornish game hens, green bean casserole, stove top, homemade mashed taters wi/cheese and sour cream, punkin pie and cranberry jelly. Went off pretty well. We had someone over, Aki. For those that know...yes, some of us are more generous and understanding than others. Anyway...of course we sat around watched TV, How its Made and Ratatoulie (whatever) and I crocheted. Then we all kinda went our way after the sleet and SNOW...yes...snow in dallas, Irving to be exact. Then I went on to look at the ads in the two local papers. took about 1.5 hours. only found a couple of things I would really like, the rest is just fluff. I guess it is all fluff, isnt it.
Good health, decent health. job, food, car, home. Those are the importants. then friends and family. those are importants too.
some of our friends and family's are not in such good health. one has cancer in her lung, one had her hand busted up in an accident. one is having exploratory to check for cancer, another has a good case of alzheimers. one has high blood pressure.then there are the younger ones with kids. passionate boisterous kids. happy healthy kids.there are acquaintences that are nice to have on your side and are out there for you.there are the friendly 4 footed emo's with fur---cats and dogs. (personally I am a dog person, but hey.)
So in the spirit of things, joy is being able to eat a dinner in a warm place without being in the sleet and snow.having enough to pay your bills and maybe a skein of yarn.
Happiness, Health and Warmth to you all.C

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS. For 232 years we have protected and defended this country from all enemies both foreign and domestic. Here are a few thoughts as I look back over the years.
While most people sat at home in their easy chair, we lived in dirty holes and behind sandbags. Our transportation wasn't a BMW or VW. It was tanks, planes and helicopters. Our work wasn't in an office that had a cleaning crew, air conditioning and worrying whether making a decision would cost us our jobs. Our work was closing with the enemy and destroying his effectiveness, often at the expense of our own lives.
While many people were home demonstrating against this country and its commitment, we were demonstrating to the world that this greatest nation on Earth was willing to fight for the freedoms that most of its citizens took for granted and most of the rest of the world didn't have. While most Americans watched TV, we watched tracers criss-crossing.
There's no such thing as an ex-Marine. As the years go by we may be older and less slim but we are still Marines. There is not a one of us that, if our country called once more, would not go. Remember - In the Marine Corps, we run toward the sound of shooting - not away from it.
The next time you see a Marine, thank him for his willingness to place himself or herself in harm's way so that you can be safe.
SEMPER FI and GOD BLESS THE MARINES!!
Rob (Master Sergeant, USMC)
